Not sure what to say?

Lori and Lisa, Delbert and I go back to 1942 when we started High School at Altoona together. I woke up in the middle of the night last night thinking about Delbert and decided to do a Google search, never dreaming that I would find his Obituary. Delbert always keep the class entertained and laughing. He was also a good Basket Ball player. We knew when he couldn't make it to our class reunion a couple of years ago that his health wasn't good but we are never prepared for for this no matter...

So sorry to hear of Delbert's passing-he is one of my favorite high school memories. We had a private womens baketball story that always make me laugh.

We were students of Delbert's in the 8th grade in Benedict Kansas. He was a wonderful teacher and was a major influence in my young life of the meaning of consideration to others. Our deepest sorrow to his family. Pat & Ron Elder, Sanford, North Carolina.

My deepest sympathy goes to his family and friends. I didn't know Delbert well but dad always thought very highly of him. I do remember his jovial attitude and that gutteral chuckle.

I first met Delbert when I was about 3 yrs. old in Neodesha KS. He was a friend of my aunts, Maude Shepherd Hunter. Imagine my surprise when he turned up in Sedgwick High School where I was a junior. Always enjoyed talking with him even though I never had him as a teacher!!! My heart felt condolences to the family. Darlene Shepherd Giffin

Coach Owens was one of my favorite teachers. He was fair and straight with all his kids. I have many fond memories of him but probably the best was his deep happy laugh. Doug Morrison

Lori and Lisa, so sorry to hear of Delbert's passing. Much love from all of us.

Uncle Delbert always made me laugh. Everytime I would come into the room he would speak with a chuckle. My prayers and thoughts are with you. May God Bless you all.

Cousin Cindy (Ham's daughter)

Delbert was one of my favorite people ever. He made a difference. how blessed we all were.
