Delia Foster Richey, of Spartanburg, died Sunday, March 7, 2010, at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born October 3, 1923, in Spartanburg County, SC, she was the daughter of the late William Rice and Della Ramsey Foster and wife of the late George Stewart Richey. She was a graduate of Western Carolina University, Cullowhee, NC, and was a retired teacher from Page Elementary School, Belmont, NC. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Inman. Survivors include two step-children, Karen Rollins and husband Dary,l and G. Alan Richey and wife Karen Staten; a step-daughter-in-law, Jewel Richey; seven step-grandchildren, Kellen, Allison, and Melinda Rollins, Shea and Jonathan Richey, and Rachel and Nathan Gorshe; a sister, Frances Foster Collins; brothers, William T. Foster and wife Virginia, Randall R. Foster and wife Kate, and Harold B. Foster and wife Nancy; and thirteen nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a step-son, Randy S. Richey; and two brothers, Marvin L. Foster and Irvin J. Foster. The family would like to extend special thanks to Kitisha Edwards for her loving care and attention over the past five years. Visitation will be 11:00-11:45 a.m. Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 noon at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Danny Chamblee and the Rev.
