Delia Grant, 92, formerly of Gary, Indiana, peacefully passed away surrounded by family and friends on October 5, 2025, in Woodbridge, Virginia.

A devoted Certified Nursing Assistant, Delia dedicated many years of service to South Lake Nursing Facility in Gary, Indiana, until her retirement in 1988. She was a faithful member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Virginia and a longtime former member of Galilee Baptist Church in Gary, where she served diligently on the Nursing Board and with the Naomi Circle.

Delia will be lovingly remembered for her joy of life, devotion to family, passion for cooking and music, love of travel, sharp wit, and those unmistakable “austere looks” that spoke volumes.

Not sure what to say?

Delia, I know you are with the lord. You will always be in heart. I thank God for the years He allowed us to share together. RIH my sister. I will always love you.

To Dee’s family, I was deeply saddened when I learned of Dee’s passing. We were best friends when stationed in Ft. Richardson, Alaska. We worked together, laughed, cried took care of each other’s kids. She was the kindest most beautiful person anyone would want for a friend. She lived a beautiful life. She’s at rest now in her Heavenly Home. I pray we’ll all meet her . May God give you strength, bless and keep each of you in His care.

My Great Grandma ......

May the lord grant you peace Delia. Bless you for being strong and wise for all your children. You gave them not just your love but the strength to carry on in hard times. You will be remembered.

So sorry to hear of your love one passing praying for your strength deepest sympathy to the family Galilee Gary

In loving memory of "Grandma"
You will be missed.
