Not sure what to say?

God bless you Delilah. When we worked together at WHHS you were always on the right side of an issue. You were respected and admired. Rest easy in God´s arms

School days! I drove her nuts. She was a good person. God rest her soul.

So much more than a fantastic educator, I had the pleasure of learning from her at Wilbur Cross, class of 1973. She instilled a pride in learning, particularly poignant coming from a black woman to another budding black woman. Her words and deeds ran deep and spoke to me in a very special way. Her whole demeanor said "go to college and be great, because you can". She will forever live in my soul, as she will for so many others , for she was truly the real deal. Rest easy my dear Mrs Gomes

Ms. Gomes was my science teacher for several years at Wilbur Cross High School in New Haven. She was the best teacher I ever had and I am so sorry to hear about her passing. Just know she touched so many lives in a very positive way. God Bless you Ms. Gomes.

A wonderful teacher! Learned so much in her Biology class. Wilbur Cross High , Class of 1968.

My sympathies to the family. I was in one of Ms. Gomes' classes at Wilbur Cross High School in New Haven. (Class of 1970) She was very soft-spoken and pleasant and an excellent educator.

She was one of the best teachers at Wilbur Cross in New Haven, class of ,'68. My prayers go out to you and your family. I was her student for two years. Class act educator!!

I was a student of Mrs. Gomes at Wilbur Cross High School. I remember her beautiful smile and her love of teaching. She was one of my favorite teachers

To Michael and family: I remember you mom fondly. She was a wonderful person
