Not sure what to say?

I meet Delmar and his Family in Germany, Michelstadt 2001 it was a big plesure for me to meet him after the crash and damaged his landing Gear i with some Friend from Roeder Praetzision and Lufthansa we repaired the Gee Bee all night long that Delmar could fly again the next day that has made him to a Friend of my size sis time i have a Gee Bee tattoo on my right arm to remember this Time and Delmar. It makes me cry to hear this so late i find it out to day.
Rest in peace my dear Friend...

A huge loss to the aviation community, growing up the gee bee was my favorite airplane, Delmar was so kind, he let me sit in the cockpit, I was so small I couldn’t see above the panel. I will forever be grateful and cherish that very early childhood memory.

Too bad this great pilot passed away. I saw him perform in France, in the nineties, at La Ferté-Allais annual airshow. Weather was appaling during saturday and sunday. But he flew the GeeBee with such a brio it was a joy to see it. His landings were a masterpiece of flying despite transverse winds. Not for the faint-hearted pilots with such little wings! I have a collection of photos taken during the show and keep a cap and a T-shirt bought on Delmar'stand; Best regards to his family and...

I met Delmar when he came to Alaska one summer. He let me into the hanger where the Gee Bee was being kept so that I could get a close look at it. I used to have a little model of a Gee Bee that was handed down from my grandfather that was never assembled. I thought that it would be in great company with Delmar's Gee Bee. Now he had the biggest and smallest Gee Bee's in the world.

The best pilot I have ever flown with ...rest in Jesus brother.

Ive only just discovered you through researching the gee bee. So glad we had you grace this life.
Fly high.

I have seen Delmar perform twice in Oshkosh in his Gee Bee, and have a picture besides his marvelous creation. His flight in the Gee Bee is one of the most impressive I have ever seen, In a legendary airplane that I had adored from early age. He took upon himself a fantastic challenge in recreating this aircraft, and had reversed the bad reputation in had from the past. Sorry to read about his death. May he rest in pease

Saw you fly on 2 separate occasions and was very very impressed each time. A consumate showman and an outtanding pilot. Thanks for your time and my escape from my day with your great show and memories.
