I know we did not know each other real well, and at first your were not too crazy about Douglas and I getting married, but I feel that after we got to know each other a bit, you must have realized how much I love your son. I miss you so much grandpa. Its still hard to accept the fact that your gone. You were a important part of our family and we will miss you so much. You did so many great things for the U.S. as well as our family. We will never forget you, say hi to grandma for me.

My dad Delmar was a very special man he fought for the freedom of all americans in world war 11.He was a kind man who tried to help as many people that he could not only with his family but he also donated money to numerous charities and organizations.I took care of my father the last eight years in which time we grew very very close .He really didnt ask for much in the last few years of his life he just wanted to play yahtzee[his favorite game]and he loved to watch Lawrence Welk on saturday...

From the first time I met Delmar at the casino I had an instant fondness for him. He was such a special,kind and lovnig man and I will always have a special memory of him.

May you find peace in knowing that he was loved and will be fondly remembered and missed.
