I worked for Delmo at Johnson CHevrolet for years and was on his race team. He was something special, I had a great time to be with him, I went all over the USA and to other countries. Yes he was special.

I have had a number of conversations with this "First Class" man, signed many diecast cars for me and told me some very personal stories about racing the Grand Sports, I will defiantly miss one of the greats in Motorsports history.

Delmo was a very amazing guy with a mind of his own. I enjoyed the many invitations on his boat at Pier 121. Had the privilege to meet his close friends and run into him on occasions at Dunstons Steak house. Rest in Peace Delmo. I can picture you doing acrobats in the clouds where you should be. God bless. Delmo was a really great character. I flew with him and my father Frank Price flew with him. He had as many FAA ratings as any one I have ever flown with

Sorry to read that we lost Delmo Jr..My Dad was one of the three Johnson Brothers (Milton, Delmo Sr J. E) and Christmas was celebrated in Mineral Wells, Dallas or Temple and all the cousins have great memories of those family gatherings. Thanks to all who watched over Delmo Jr in his final years.
