Delores J. Burnside

BURNSIDE, Delores J. of Kalamazoo, MI Passed away August 18, 2009 at the Laurels of Galesburg. She was born May 4, 1934 in Kalamazoo, to the late Oliver and Alberta (Lesterhouse) Johnson. Delores was united in marriage on June 23, 1956, to Roy Burnside, who survives. Also surviving are her children, Cheri Burnside of San Antonio, TX, Lori Irving of Kalamazoo and Garth Burnside of Ann Arbor; grandchildren, Emily (George) Daggett, Patrick Bowdy, Ami Irving, Amanda Burnside and Ashley Burnside; brother, Donald (Beth) Johnson; and several nieces and nephews. Also preceding Delores in death was a grandson, Andrew "A.J." Irving; and sister, Barbara Bradley. She was a life member of Order of the Eastern Star. She was employed by Sutherland Paper Co., Gull Lake School District as a bus driver and by Recognition, Inc. Delores also volunteered as an EMT with Gull Lake Ambulance Service. A visitation will be Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8:00PM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., where services will take place Friday, 11:30. Committal service will follow at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorials in Delores's name may be directed to the Laurels of Galesburg.
