MADDEN, Joseph T., Sr., 87, and his beloved wife Delores E., 81, just hours apart at home and surrounded by loving family passed peacefully into eternal life on April 12, 2012. Residents of Village of Neshaminy Falls, North Wales, formerly of Bensalem and Philadelphia. Joe was the son of the late James and Josephine (Hagenbucher) Madden. He was the brother of the late James, John, and Josephine Kenney. Joe was a U.S. Army WWII veteran, retired Philadelphia Fire Captain and member of Keystone State Fire Chiefs Association. He volunteered for many years for the Hero Scholarship Thrill Show and was active in the Northeast Catholic Alumni Association. Dee was the daughter of the late John Earl and Elizabeth (Eberhardt) Dunbar and sister of the late Nanette Rinck. She was a homemaker and former Sears employee who loved socializing and gardening. She won the Jefferson Award for her volunteer work transporting cancer patients. Married for 62 years, they were the loving parents of Linda Melnick (Edward), Joseph T., Jr. (Kathryn Creamer), Patricia Phillips (Dennis), Nancy Johnson (Robert), William (Kathleen), Michael (Joan) and Mark (Elizabeth). Also survived by 27 beloved grandchildren, 29 cherished great-grandchildren, many dear nieces and nephews and treasured friends. Relatives and friends are invited to their visitation on Friday April 20, 9:30-11:00 am , Mary Mother of the Redeemer Church, 1325 Upper State Rd, North Wales PA 19454, followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at 2 PM at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd, Newtown PA 18940. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Visiting Nurse Home Care Hospice Doylestown Hospital, 595 W State St, Doylestown PA 18901, the Alzheimer's Association or the charity of your choice.
