Mrs. Delores Maxine Clarke Wilson, affectionally known as "Dee", departed this life on Saturday, March 5, 2022. She was 87 years old. Delores was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Oneil Howard Wilson; her parents, Cecil Burke Clarke and Ella Hamlin Clarke; brothers, Otis Clarke and Jerome Clarke; sister, Cecil Clarke Armstrong; a great granddaughter, Shania Wilson; and dear friends, Marian T. Robertson and Grace O’Neal.


Delores graduated from Peabody High School in 1952. Delores  leaves to cherish her memory: six children, Treska Wilson-Smith (Larry), Pansy Wilson Lewis (Harold), Joy Wilson Charles (Roosevelt), Oneil Wilson (Barbara), Miguel Wilson (Janice deceased) and Jeri Wilson Stith (Glenn); a niece, Sybil Armstrong Finklea, and a nephew, Ronnie Clarke.  Delores also leaves eleven grandchildren, Jasmine McCoy (Steve), Sgt. Jon Smith (Jamie), Kendall Smith (Chel), Jessica Barlow (devoted), Robert Barlow (LaQuita), Lorenzo Barlow (Jackie), Misha Charles (Njabulo Mgune), Jeffrey Charles (Tanika), Thomas Charles (DaShondra), Danielle Wilson (Kevin) and Blake Wilson; thirty-two great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren; and close friends, Bertina Taylor, Vashti Richardson and Bonnie Mae Simmons.   


Graveside services will be held 12:00 Noon, Friday, March 11, 2022 at Dinwiddie Memorial Park, 7324 Church Road, North Dinwiddie, VA. 


Family and friends visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, March 10, 2022 at the funeral establishment.


The family will assemble 11:00 A.M. the day of the service at the funeral establishment for the processcial to Dinwiddie Memorial Park.
