Delphine Albert

Delphine Albert, 93, of Nazareth, PA, formerly of Bangor, passed away Friday, March 27th, at VNA Hospice of St. Luke's, Bethlehem. Delphine was born in Bangor, PA on May 15, 1921, a daughter of the late Beulah (Oyer) and Walter East. She was the widow of Arlington J. Albert, Jr., who passed away in 2002. She was a member of First United Evangelical Congregational Church Bangor, PA, where she sang in the church choir for many years. Delphine is survived by a sister, Alvona Jones and her husband Melvin, of Bangor, PA, two nephews Brent Jones and his wife Jacki and Sherwood Shaplin, Jr. and his wife Peggy and two nieces Delphine Wertman and her husband Paul and Linda Miltenberger and her husband Jim. She was preceded in death by a brother, Loring East. Funeral services will be held at the James B. Gaffney Funeral Home, 314 S. First St., Bangor, PA, at 1 PM on Tuesday, March 31st. Friends are invited to call from Noon until the time of the service in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery Bangor, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First United Evangelical Congregational Church, 26 S. 2nd Street, Bangor, PA 18013.
