Springfield- Delra Marie (Lynch) Schartner, 83, passed away at home on December 23. A resident of Springfield for 50 years, Delra was born in Tennessee on June 26, 1937, the daughter of the late Ronnellad and Goldie Lynch. Once settled in Springfield, she worked for Springfield Wire, before retiring after 37 years of service to the company. In more recent years, Delra loved to travel, taking every chance she could to go on one of her trips and she made sure she was having fun no matter where she went. She also cherished the time spent with her family, especially during the Christmas season, which was her most favorite time of year. Delra was predeceased by her husband, Thomas W. Schartner, who passed away on 2002, and her grandson, Jasen Doane, in 2019. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Allen, of Chicopee, and Denise Schartner, of Agawam, her granddaughters, Marie Pecor, of Westfield, and Soreya Schartner, of Springfield, as well as six great-grandchildren. Friends and family are invited to gather for a period of visitation from 3p.m. to 4p.m. on Sunday, January 3, 2021, at the Corridan Funeral Home, 333 Springfield St., Chicopee. All those in attendance are required to wear a mask and abide by social distancing guidelines. Delra will be buried along-side her husband in Lawn Croft Cemetery in Linwood, PA, at a later date. My condolences to family and friends of Del. I am truly sorry for your loss .She was a sweet woman with a lot of spunk. I use to do her hair years ago. I liked doing it for her. She will be so missed by many❤
