Delton Paul Taylor

 Delton Paul Taylor, passed away on Thursday, December 29th, 2016 from heart failure. A noble, respectable man known and loved by many. Some knew him as Delton, some as Paul, but if you really knew him, he was Papaw. Paul was 78 years old, and he is survived by his beloved wife, Joyce Taylor of 38 years, 1 brother, 3 children, 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

 Paul was born in Chickasaw, MS on January, 13th, 1938. He was one of the founders of Hallmark Air Conditioning and Heating back in 1957 and under his guidance, it grew to be one of the largest residential air-conditioning and heating companies in Houston. He crafted the idea of the residential air conditioning annual maintenance plan which is now seen across the industry nationwide. Paul worked with Hallmark until 1995, when he took an early retirement. After staying home for a few years, he and his brother, Kenneth, began another HVAC company called Air Depot in 2004. He became the general manager for Air Depot and in his years there, he imparted his wisdom and knowledge on so many people and acted as a great leader to those with whom he worked with. Among his many accomplishments, in 1968 he was the founding father of CyFair Sports Association.

 Paul was a man that everyone looked up to and loved. He enjoyed a day on the golf course as much as he loved spending time with his family. He was not your average business owner, Paul only had up to an 8th grade education, but, in spite of this, he strived to be someone and to take care of his family. Through strong will, determination, and dedication, he did just that.

 Services will be at Cypress Fairbanks Funeral Home at 9926 Jones Road, Houston, TX 77065 on Friday, January 13th at 2:00pm. It would have been his 79th birthday. Our Family asks that in lieu of flowers please donate to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101-9929.
