Our friendship with Mrs. Nappier began more than 30 years ago when we met her as members of Union Wesley AME Zion Church. She was a straight shooter who had a bubbly personality and lots of charisma. Mrs. Nappier loved her family, and we enjoyed her animated stories about them, particularly her husband, Bill, and daughter, Renee.

I met Dema about 25 years ago when she was working for the NASA Alumni League in DC. In the office environment, Dema was a force to be reckoned with! We kept in touch over the years since her retirement. Dema was a remarkable woman who will be greatly missed.

My mother and Mrs. Nappier graduated from Chambersburg in 1941, one of my brothers told me this morning at breakfast that he has mom's graduation yearbook and Mrs. Nappier had written an entry in it, how cool is that!

Mrs. Nappier must have lived a wonderful life, so sorry it came to an end, RIP.
