Not sure what to say?

I was among the several lucky kids you baptized. You were always there for me even though the past few years I lived so far away. Thanks for helping me with my reports back in junior high, for the beautiful Christmas ornaments you made, for never forgettin my B-day, and for making my favorite vegetable soup when I visited. May God rest your soul in peace. Give your cousin Ernie a big hug for me.

Eventhough she had baptised my sister Kathy I would always call her NOUNA and loved her just like mine.
She was a very nice person and all her life she helped others and my family with her own special way.
I had visited her a couple of days before Christmas and was sad to see her in that condition she was now.May God rest her soul, she we always be in my heart and thoughts.theos xorestin...
bye nouna.............

Our deepest sympathy to the Kokkales family from my wife and me on the passing of Demetra. We were saddened to hear of her death, however our grief is lessended by remembering what a great person she was.

She was part of my growing up years in Ann Arbor and I have so many pleasant memories of her and her great pioneer Greek-American family. She was a good friend to all and a great role model. May she rest in peace.

Dear Aunt Dee,

I will really miss you and all he good times and laughs we had together. I look forward to seeing you again when we meet in Glory in the presence of our Lord Jesus.

So long,
John

Dee took me under her wing when I needed help teaching a social studies class at East Junior High School. She was an optimistic, encouraging role model for staff and students alike. We will never forget the blessings she brought to our lives.

Miss Kokkales was my history teacher at East Junior High in the mid-1960's and helped nurture my love for the subject that continues to this day. When I recently cleaned out my parents' old house in Ypsilanti, I found my old EJHS history class notes and the memories flooded back. I am truly sorry to hear of her passing.

Dee was a teacher who had a great influence on my life, starting in the fall of 1954 as my homeroom teacher and ending with her retirement working with me as one of my teachers, when I was principal of East Middle School. She was always kind, compassionate, understanding and just a beautiful person. May she rest in peace along with her brother, Nick.

I also was a student of Miss Kokkales at East Junior High and remember her fondly. Her students were important to her and she really wanted them to learn. My heart goes out to her beloved family during this time.

Miss K, may you rest in peace. You were the classiest instructor I ever met at Ypsilanti High School. You were understanding, made sure your students were on the right track, and for that you gained the respect of all your students. Thank you for your help.
