Not sure what to say?

Jim was a wonderful brilliant and enjoyable med school classmate, who had a life well lived. Condolences to all the family and friends. Photo from med school 50th reunion.

Dr. J was kind, compassionate and interesting! We especially enjoyed seeing him and his wife Janice at medical parties! Just know that we are thinking of you and we and many others are praying for you and your family.

I am grieved to hear of Dr. Julius´ passing. My memories of him go back to 1981 when I served as his secretary in the old VAMC facility. Our office was situated just around the corner from ward 62. Shortly after that, we moved to the new VAMC facility as it stands today. Some years passed and I left on a promotion to radiology service in 1986 - my first step into management, then on to admissions. It was always my goal to become an administrative officer and through Dr. Julius, God blessed...

You are one of my dearest friends for more than 50 years,, a brother in spirit, heart and mind There areso many things we didn't get to do. Jimmy, we hardly knew You as good as we wanted. You will always be deep in our hearts.lOVE, roy

My sincere condolences. When I did my rotations at the VA hospital, Jim was chief of psychiatry, and he brought Vamik Volkan and other notable psychiatrists and psychoanalysts for seminars, and Janice was always such a welcoming presence hosting psychiatrists at their home. Always a pleasure to see Jim at Richmond Academy of Medicine meetings. My deepest wishes for comfort to Janice and all the family.

He was a wonderful teacher and a calming presence in the hectic mileu of the VA.

I am truly saddened to hear about "Jim´s" sudden passing. We worked together as psychiatry faculty members since 1984, and for more than 20 years as colleagues at the Richmond VA. I will remember his intellect and humor, and his deep commitment to veterans. My condolences to Janice, Jim´s children and his grandchildren. May his memory be a blessing. John Urbach

My deepest sympathy.
