I met Denis in his very intellectual drawing group when I was an art model in the 1980s. I met Naomi when we both studied Life/Art with the dancer Anna Halprin. I enjoyed knowing them over the years, attending art openings, gatherings, and dances. Denis and Naomi were a quintessential ART couple. RIP Denis! We miss you!

I just recently learned that Denis had died. I admired Denis completely. When I lived in California, when had good times together, mostly talking about writing. He was, as his friends know, a very talented artist and writer. I will always cherish a painting he did of our place in Aromas. Wonderful man.

The wind went out of the Bay Area, hearing of Denis´ passing. I met him as Artist in drawing groups, Writer in NOLO books, Personality in public places. Condolences to Naomi, fellow dancer. RIP Denis! Heaven is an Infinite Space for Creatives!

In 1948 Denis and I road the trolley car on the last leg of our Saturday morning trip to our lesson at the Montclair Art Museum. About 10 years ago I purchased one of his paintings of Old Forge. Denis never reciprocated. He was however a good friend to many people, particularly his high school friends.
