Read MoreI just learned of Denis's passing. My deepest sympathies. I apprenticed under Denis at the Holiday Inn in Stevens Point back in 1990. He was the first chef I worked under and have always had great respect for him. I remember having many conversations with him about music as well as cooking. He was a good man.

Cheryl, I also share belated condolences. It's hard to realize the Hoffman brothers are gone. As one of the Wilson girls, our family enjoyed being backdoor neighbors for over 50 years. I have fun memories of being in band with Denis at BHS and enjoyed hearing the band rock out.
