Not sure what to say?

Vina and Family- It is so difficult to think of you Vina without Denny and with Denny without you. I have always admired you both for your service to God, Country, Family, Neighbors and Friends. Denny's humble, calm and gentle spirit will always be remembered. Thank You for always reminding us what this life is supposed to be as a reflection of Jesus Christ who came to serve rather than be served! With love in our Savior,Christ Jesus! Mike and Colleen Schmidt

I will truly miss you - you were compassionate, kind, caring and Daddy and I both loved you. I will remember your smile and Vina's translations when you almost heard things :-) I want to remember that - it was part of who the two of you were, supporting each other. Rest in Eternal Peace, dearest Denis.

I light this candle in remembrance and to light your way. My prayers are with Vina and the family.

It was an honor to know such a wonderful man with a gentle spirit. You always made my day when we got the chance to chat. You will be missed by all who knew you!

The Washington State Veterans Cemetery extend our deepest sympathies to the family of Denis A. Mikkelsen, Ret. Chief, USN for your loss, to honor his service (WWII) to our country and our patriotic hero.

It was a pleasure interviewing Denis for KREM-2's Pearl Harbor series I worked on with Ashley Korslien back in 2011. I am honored to have heard his story.

Denny, It has been an honor to know such a remarkable man. God Bless you for your selfless service to the country you loved and for your dedication to the family you loved. You will be greatly missed!!
