I met Denise about 18 months ago at her home for the first meeting of the Hero's Writers Group with Fritz and Diane. She was so hospitable and served us gourmet coffee and chocolate chip cookies.

As I got to know her, I realized what an excellent writer she was and how much she cared about the craft. She let us critique her book on extinct animals. It was a great idea and very well-written.
