I am so sorry to hear of Denise's passing. We had high school together, and later she hired me to sell display ads at the Thrifty. I will remember her saying, "not to worry", and inspiring my love of sparkly stones! It was so good to see her at our 30 year reunion. She was totally Denise, totally fabulous! My condolences to her family and many friends. She will be missed. Thanks Denise, bless you and peace be with you.

Bob, I was shocked and saddened to hear of Denise's passing and also Rosemary. It's sometimes hard to imagine how many lives one person can touch that leave lasting, lifetime memories. I know that I am one, and also know there were thousands of others. My condolences to you and the entire family.

Where does one begin? The passing of Denise is a huge loss to her family, and her wonderful husband Bob Strouf. I went to high school at Lincoln East and graduated in the same class with Denise. We were friends and hung out in college a little, but then really became much closer when I returned to Lincoln to start my business in 1981. We frequently did lunch, every week without fail. I was fortunate to share many social 'outings' with Bob and Denise, and I truly love them both.

I loved Denise, even though I hadnt seen her for 15 years and just a few times since 1975. We had so much fun back then and she was definitely one of a kind. It saddens me to have her no longer in this world. I give my sincere condolences to her family.

Denise was such a beautiful woman, inside and out - it's so hard to understand why things like this happen. I'm sharing a poem, with everyone that knew and loved her, that may be of some comfort.
GOD'S FLOWER GARDEN
Sometimes we can't quite understand, our great creator's way.
When he takes a life so young and leaves one withered, old, and gray;
whose life's work here seems finished, perhaps is waiting for His call.
While that life so young and tender, held so...

Bob, I worked for Denise back in the 80's when it was still the Thrifty Nickel. I remember she was such a inspiration to me. I use to come and do her hair and she would have me come and spend the night with at her place. I have wonderful memories of her. I no longer live in nebr but when I have been home in the past I always thought I should pop in and say hi, I wish now I would have. We always think I will do it the next time and then you don't get that next time. I will miss her, I will...
