Denise Alderisio Garrott

What a person: caring, loving, inventive, empathetic, helpful and a worker no matter the job. She just popped in off the street to the Pittsburgh Free Clinic and and said, "How can I help?" She proved herself invaluable as we were getting off the ground in 1970.

My sister Denise, although younger than I, was such an adventurer! She encouraged me to travel more exotically and I accepted her dares. Her home, her farm, and her pond, oh the pond--how I loved our many summers of drifting on the raft with her, time for simply dreaming.

May her bright soul continue to inspire all who knew her, naturalists, adventurers, and those who take time to care of others in this world. Rest in peace.

Dennis, Sorry to hear of the passing of your beloved sister who accomplished more academically, professionally & personally in her one lifetime than most of us could achieve in two. RIP.
