Silver Lake has lost a cornerstone... Denny did so much more than just be a great neighbor and family friend. I spent several summers working for him... which was hardly work... he made it more fun than work! Going to auctions in the Bomb (his econoline pickup), buying my senior project (1939 Ford), tractor and truck pulls, 4H projects, church events, school events... no matter how long I was away from the area I always felt like I had never left when stopping at the Ponderosa to see...
