Dear Uncle Dennis,

Thank you for the memories during countless Sundays spent at Limestones for Brody family parties, while grillin' and chillin' on the boat during the most epic July 4th celebration/fireworks, and showing me how to get my delicate Irish skin the perfect shade of tan...psych, PINK (!)...on the beach.

I'll miss your smile and signature roar of a laugh, but will never forget it. Rest easy...

Dennis Brody was always a thoughtful and generous person to his family and extended family.

I share so many happy memories with Dennis at the many family gatherings as well as working together at Frost & Sullivan during our high school years. He always had such a big heart, a helping hand and a beautiful smile.

Dennis’ greatest joy always came from his and Cathy’s five beautiful and accomplished children. He was so proud of each of you.

It is with much sadness that we learned of Dennis' passing. He and the entire Brody and Burns family were a wonderful part of our childhood growing up on 58th Street. These memories always bring a big smile to our faces and joy to our hearts. Frank now lives in Virginia and Chris in Texas and so cannot be present at today's wake. I am in CT and will do my best to be there if possible. Please accept our deepest sympathies. May God rest his soul and give you all peace and comfort.

On an early May morning in Las Vegas, I was awakened by a knock on the hotel room door. “Rise and shine boys, you’re missing precious pool time. Get down there, I’ve got suntan lotion.” Before I could ask for a specific location, he was on the elevator.

Cathy and family, and the extended Brody cousins: we and everyone are all so sorry for your loss. Dennis was always generous with his time, ready for a chat, and of course, with a smile- the photo epitomizes him. RIP Dennis, we'll see you at the next concert.

The essence of Dennis was multi-faceted. His successful ventures as an electrician, restauranteur, real estate investor and boat captain always left us inspired. We will forever smile at his confidence and skill navigating his catamaran down the Narrows into NY Harbor and up the East River for the most extraordinary July 4th under the Macy's fireworks!
