Dennis E. Call, 66, of North Platte passed away Feb. 18, 2009, at his home.

He was born July 18, 1942, in Hershey to Melvin and Lola Arterburn Call. He attended school in North Platte and married the late Catherine Glaubitz on Nov. 12, 1965, in North Platte. The couple lived in North Platte while Dennis worked for Cement Products, and continued with them for many years. He was the manager of the Eagles Club for a few years. Dennis married Sharon Roenfeldt Aug. 22, 2003, in North Platte.

Dennis enjoyed yard work and cooking and loved being a grandpa and great-grandpa.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon, of North Platte; three daughters, Melinda Dowhower (Bryan Walz) of North Platte, Annette Call (Leo Morales) of Garden City, Kan., and Julieann (Paul) Niles of North Platte; six step-children, Troy (Audry) Medley of Kearney, Theresa Medley of Las Vegas, Vicki (Marty) Blackburn of Douglas, Wyo., Tysen Keiswetter of Cozad, Tyrene (Mike) Maack of Cozad and Desiree Huertas of Minden; nine grandchildren, Lindsey, Britni, Dustin and Kasia Dowhower, Faith and Paul Niles all of North Platte, Miranda, Megan and Leo Morales of Garden City; a great-grandson, Taylin Stark of North Platte; 19 step grandchildren; nine step great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert (Joyce) Call of Napa, Idaho and Terry (Sandy) Haney of North Platte; a sister-in-law, Margaret Call of North Platte; five brother-in-laws, Art (Linda) Glaubitz of Irving, Texas, Don (Ona) Glaubitz of Overton, Nev., Toby, Bob (Connie) and Dick Roenfeldt; and mother-in-law, Edna Roenfeldt of Cozad.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Robert Haney; wife, Catherine April 28, 1999; and a brother, Don Call.

A memorial has been established in his memory and online condolences may be shared at www.adamsswanson.com.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Chapel with Father Brethour officiating. Inurnment will follow at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. today at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home.
