Dr Carmichael changed the direction of my career path. I was teaching nursery school at my church.and he sent several of his patients to me. I was working on a master s degree in Child Development. I worked with Dennis at Children´s House for over twenty years. He was a true lover of children and had a passion for his work. His sense of humor kept me sane on many occasions. I am grateful to have had him in my life

Dear Carmichael family, The NC Psychiatric Association would like to express our deepest sympathy for the loss of Dr. Carmichael. He led an extraordinary life and will be missed in the psychiatric community.
