Not sure what to say?

Uncle Shad was a great man. He used to sing at All the family reunions beside playing just about every where in So. Cal. In the 60´s, 70´s, 80´s and 90´s. His brother, my Uncle Jack (real name (Fred), told me that Shadow Clark sang at the Grand Ole Opry, and won the singing contest held there some time in the 60´s. I accidentally ran into Shad one time I was at the Del Mar Fair in Del Mar, Cal. performing once in `78-`79. Shad was the second youngest of 18 Children born of Lillian Mayes....

We first met Dennis when our son Don, married Marina. When Brandon was born we came to know him as Papa Shadow. When we came to visit him in San Diego he was always happy. We remember how he loved to garden and grew cherry tomatoes which are still Brandon's favorite. He shared the love of the guitar with Brandon as well, which inspired Brandon to take lessons. He was a wonderful man and will be greatly missed.

Thanks for all the great memories you created for my daughter, Ninah, tomatoes and radishes, music and laughter! We love you!

My grandpa Shadow was such a major influence in my childhood and growing up. He's the reason I learned guitar and I thank him for teaching me that hardwork and dedication pay off. His accomplishments are inspiring. I love you Papa Shadow, but I know that you will forever be with us in spirit.
