I knew Dennis from mutual friends in AA in the Bay Area before he moved to Washington. He was friends with one of my sponsors, Tony Spasaro. I was invited to join a group of men, that I affectionately called the "Geezer Group." We would attend Oakland Athletics baseball games together. Dennis was one of the members.
