Dennis Lee Fretty

Although I only saw Dennis once a year at the Mississippi Valley Blues Festival, I always looked forward to our visits as we traversed between the band shell and the tent stage, trying to secure the perfect spot to photograph the performers. He was one of the most humble, kind persons that I have ever known and I'm proud to call him a friend. Dennis was a great photographer and I always was impressed by his photos displayed during the blues fest. RIP, Dennis. We will get together again.

You have been on my mind the last couple of months. I have been doing home repairs and all the cool equipment I got from you has come in handy and I thought of you as I was dragging them out and dragging them back.
