Dennis Hawkins

Dennis and I were classmates of CHS 1965 and were friends through school when I left the Clinton area. I always admired Dennis and thought of him as a role model

Leigh, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I heard of the news Sunday morning at church. My son was being baptized that morning, and as I was overjoyed by his decision, I heard the announcement of your fathers passing and my heart dropped. My prayers will forever be with you and your family.

I was so sad to hear your news.... I was so lucky to work for Dennis at Blunck AND at Dee's portraits. Yes, that long ago. HE was a wonderful teacher and a wonderful friend. He felt so blessed to have you and the kids... I know he was!

I'm just hearing about my other Dennis from Bluncks today... I will miss them both.

Mary,
I am overcome with grief to learn of the passing of Dennis. As time races forward we lose contact with so many of those who were such an important part of our earlier lives. My prayer for you is that the grief in your heart today will be overwhelmed with the joy from all the wonderful times that Dennis and you shared for so many years. If I can ever be of any assistance to you, do not hesitate to call.

Mary and family,
It really caught me off guard to hear of Dennis' passing. My Mom phoned me last night to wish me a Happy Birthday and mentioned that she had read his obituary recently in the paper! I was stunned.

We certainly had a lot of fun times together at Blunck's ( and did a lot of hard work, too! ) Those were some great times.

We used to kid each other mercilessly about many different things but, one of the things I remember kidding Dennis about was...

Mary, you don't know me, but I was a high school classmate of Dennis'. I don't believe I had seen him since high school, but I have good memories of Dennis. He was always upbeat and treated people well. I was sorry to hear of his death; it diminishes us all.

Mary and family, I am very sorry to hear of your loss. I had the pleasure of working with Dennis while he was with Herff Jones. I always enjoyed his company and we had a good time while working together. Dennis was a talented and kind person. It was a pleasure to know him. He touched many lives in a very positive way.

I have nothing but fond memories of growing up in Clinton with classmates and friends like Dennis. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during these trying times.
