Dennis Henley

Sorry I will not be able to attend the memorial for cousin Dennis, the late Henley family patriarch. I will plant a blazing maple tree beside my house to commemorate and remember him daily. I think my strongest memory of my big cousin was as a kid at Higgins Lake where he conned all the younger ones to go on a "snipe hunt". While crawling around in the dark, earnestly calling: "Here snipe, snipe, snipe", I managed to disturb a wasp nest in a rotten log and paid a painful price. Love you Cous!

Doug and family, I never got to meet Dennis in person, but Doug´s stories about his family were truly unforgettable. Higgin´s Lake appeared to be an all around Family Favorite memory. Hold those memories close, they get better as they age!
