Dennis, you were so kind and sweet. I will always remember the days when my mom and i would go into Kroger and we would see at your check out lane with just a smile on your face. It seemed that you never had anything negative to say. You are ALL SMILES! I had the honor of playing my violin at your funeral. You were not just a best friend to my mom, you were a best friend to me.

My family and me will always remeber Dennis Holmes as a true friend. He was there when we all was struggling to find ourselves. Dennis was there when alot of us found ourselves. He was a gentle and caring man. He was there when our children was born and shared in the joy of watching them grow up. I personally will always remember his humor, his laugh, and his always being there. He was supportive and always was a good shoulder to cry on. My family and me salute you "UNCLE D".

Dennis you were a great friend and I hate that we lost contact with each other when I moved to Birmingham. I love you and will truly miss you. I hate that the last time I saw you was at the funeral home to see my Dad only weeks ago.
To Dennis' Family I am truly sorry for your loss. Dennis was a great person and always had a warm smile on his face everytime I saw him and he always was one of the nicest people I know he will be missed. Kroger's will never be the same without walking...
