Dennis Jackson Horn Born in McArthur, Arkansas on Dec 22, 1923 to Joseph Richard Horn and Mary Lovedy Horn. He was the youngest of and remaining survivor of 13 children. He worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad for 40 years, first as a Locomotive Fireman and later as a Locomotive Engineer until retirement. He was married to Wilma Allen Horn on August 18, 1946. He was a Mason, Shriner and Scottish Rite member, St. Andrews United Methodist Church, Wesley Sunday School Class, licensed private aircraft pilot, and Railroad Locomotive Engineer and train operation consultant during retirement. Dennis was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener which he actively continued until his death February 11, 2013, in his 89th year. His last day had been spent successfully fishing the entire day at the end of which he was called home to the Lord by an automobile highway accident near Three Rivers, Texas. Dennis is survived by his wife, Wilma Earline Horn of Alamo Heights, Texas; daughter, Diane Arleen Horn of San Antonio, Texas; son, Dennis Allen Horn of Friendswood. Texas; daughter-in-law, Mary Alice Horn of Friendswood, Texas; grandson, Derek Matthew Horn of Friendswood Texas; numerous nieces and nephews, great, and great great nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all of his family and friends who loved him. Pallbearers: Dennis Allen Horn, Derek Matthew Horn, Kenny Wayne Horn, Dan Heron Funeral service will be held Saturday February 16, 2013 at 10:00 am at St Andrews United Methodist Church in San Antonio, Texas with the reception following at 11:00 am at the Church Parlor. Burial will be afterwards at Memory Gardens in Victoria Texas at 2:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Andrews United Methodist Church in San Antonio Texas or your choice of a charity.
