He was a man of rather intimidating size, that was my very first thought the day I met him. What I learned in my years of knowing him was as tall as he stood, his heart was infinitely larger. He loved his family fiercely, and would do anything for them, especially his grandchildren who brought out his inner child and laughter. I was Dennis' "driver" (He would ask me to 'drive' him places in his wheelchair..). He knew my name up until the very end and would ask for me by name. I know he's pain free now. I miss and love you for wr, bud.

I am so incredibly grateful I got to meet and care for Dennis. He was one of the greatest blessings and the best man to ever come into my life. From the first day I cared for him at the nursing home, he was a true best friend and like a grandfather to me. He had the biggest, kindest heart and always made me laugh and smile, even when he was in pain.
