JOHNSON, Dennis E. – Of Holly, Michigan, age 79, died Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Flowers Hospital in Alabama. 

Funeral service will be held 2pm Sunday, December 14, 2025 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.

Visitation 2-7pm Saturday, December 13, 2025 and 1pm Sunday until the time of the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans.

Dennis was born in Flint, Michigan on October 13, 1946, the son of the late Elwood and Bernice Johnson. Dennis proudly served in the United States Army. He loved wood carving, fishing, and air brushing. He was very artistic. Dennis was instrumental in starting a car club in Holly, Michigan. His true joy was spending time with his family. Dennis retired from General Motors V8 Engine Plant and was a member of UAW Local #659.

Surviving are children, Michael Johnson (Dawn Pool-Blair) of Howell, MI, Pamela (Donald) Jones of Goodrich, and Diane (Kevin) Alewine of Ozark, AL;

Grandchildren, Sandy, Cindy, and Scott (Allison) Johnson, Elizabeth (Jordon) DeMasellis and John Paul (Sarah) Jones;

Several great-grandchildren;

Siblings, Robert “Butch” (Jan) Johnson, Thomas Johnson, Nancy (Paul) Minniear and Suzanne Bobinshot;

And several nieces and nephews.
