Not sure what to say?

Dear Joan, I just learned of Dennis' passing in the Rochester alumni magazine. I am so sorry to hear the news. I remember being a labmate of Dennis' in Prof Kende's laboratories. He was an excellent colleague and good friend. I remember his efforts on the total synthesis of streptonigrin - to this day, I'm not sure anyone else would've had the perseverence and effort that Dennis displayed. My sympathy goes out to the family during your time of grief. May God's loving-kindness comfort you and help you through this difficult time. (Psalm 119:50, 76) ~DS

So sorry for your loss. I enjoyed working with Dennis at Rohm and Haas. He was a great scientist and a great person.

I was sorry to read of Dennis's passing. I attended Colebrookdale Twp Elementary School with him. I remember he and his mother had the reddest hair, even redder than my mother's hair which was really red. He was always great at Science and could have taught the classes, he knew so much more than the rest of us students, but he had a terrible time with spelling. That gave me some comfort because I could not spell either.

Dear Joan, So sorry for your loss. We have so many great memories of our time as neighbors on Heebner Ln.
