As kids growing up in the same neighborhood in Harrisburg, Denny was a very good friend and always fun to hang out with.
In the summers we ran the streets from morning until the street lights 'came on'. In the winters we spent many days
at the Boys club of Harrisburg. I haven't seen Denny for many years until recently when we got in touch to attend a
Crescent St. reunion. I think we talked and reminisced all day. He hadn't changed a bit.

In 1969, Denny, Carmine, and I hitch hiked to California. We left Front St, Harrisburg, Sunday at 5:30 pm and arrived in Needles, CA 11:00 pm on Wednesday. Ohio, Missouri, then Route 66, Panhandle of Texas, Albuquerque, New Mexico, you know the song. Sleeping a night in the Arizona desert. Went Saturday to the Fourm in LA, couldn’t get in the doors but at a door we listened to Led Zeppelin. Sunday at Long Beach swam in the Pacific Ocean with the Red Tide coming in. Denny, was one of the Kindest Souls I’ve ever met & a damn fine Harmonica player.
I always felt years younger while spending time with him.
