Not sure what to say?

So glad I got to meet him, been friends with Annie since 5th grade

We are lucky if we capture a few friends like Dennis in our lifetime and I really lucked out when I met Den.
We had many great sailing adventures but what I really miss is visiting Dennis and Annie in their beautiful Mt. Tabor home. Annie, I hope you and the kids, and maybe grandkids, are doing well.

We're going to miss you, Brother!

I had the opportunity to work with Dennis for many years in the electrical trade. The crews respected him and the customers really liked him. His calm demeanor and reassuring presence was a good mix in the positions that he held.
I really enjoyed our conversations on certain issues when our opinions were diametrically opposed. We would really go at it and then agree to disagree. Whenever I would kid him, he would give it back in spades. Dennis had a great upbeat attitude no matter what he...

Dennis found so much pleasure in everything he did. He had a way about him that made everyone listen, plus he made them feel important. His teaching and guidance will continue on. No short circuit there, His candle will shine on.
I met Dennis back in August of 1973 (wow 42 years ago)when he was dispatched to Ajax Electric in NE Portland. In lots of the more recent years I would see him, at the Portland Transmission May car show. Our yearly check up on each other, what a guy always up...

We were privledged to be neighbors for many years and enjoyed Dennis and his sense of humor. Who else would be up at 3 am in the freezing weather pumping out our garage/basement when kids thought it funny to open the fire hydrant. The water shot straight into our garage and our possessions were floating out as we worked. We have always been thankful for his help and for having a pump from the job he recently worked on. Love to you all. We were so sad to see the McCarthy flag at half staff.

Dear, dear McCarthy family...Dennis was a man with lots of gifts, but most of all, he was a man of great integrity. We were all privileged to have known and loved him.
We all wish for his memory to give you all peace and joy as you heal.

I had the privilege of working with Dennis at Tice Electric Company for several years until his retirement. While a talented electrician, we was an even better person. We shared a passion for motor sports and it was a topic of most of our conversations. He never gave up. I will miss him.

Love to you all.
