Dennis Murphy was my oldest friend. We met on Damen Avenue when we were 6 years old. We played baseball on the short side of McKinley Park with the neighborhood greats...Tommy Score, Johnny Colasari, Mike Chico, Brian and Mark Sokolowski and yes even Jim Stewart and who could forget Puss! We played hockey on the lagoon even as it cracked under our feet. We played football in the Murph's front yard, he was always Bronco Nagurdski (his pronounciation not mine).
