Not sure what to say?

Dennis was an inspiration! He was a complete student athlete. His trumpet playing of the Carnival of Venice was a special memory and his military musical service to us was magical. I send my feelings to his family, especially you, Jim, who is a fellow 1967 graduate.

Thinking of all of you today, and always, with great memories of Dennis - Love you -

I was saddened to see this obituary that sister Connie forwarded to me.
Of course, I new Dennis back in his amazing trumpet playing days. Obit did not indicate he continued playing. what was that great solo he played--'Carnival of Venice' I thinkl with double and triple tonguing.

Uncle Dennis telling family stories.

Although we were miles away while I was growing up I always had a unique bond with my Uncle Dennis. It was an exciting time for me to go to Roseau when our California family came to Minnesota. Uncle Dennis often had a joke and was a great storyteller, which was done with a certain glimmer in his eye. The same glimmer Grandma had.

This past year he was there for me during the most trying times when my daughter was ill. He didn't know it, but he reached out to me on the hardest day...

Dear JoAnn,
We are so very sorry for your loss. My wife Karin and I felt so welcome at Almaden by you and Dennis on our first official golf outing. Over the years, it's been a joy and a blessing to talk hockey with you both and having that common bond that only someone from Minny can truly understand. Our deepest sympathy goes out to your family.
Sincerely,
David and Karin Maley

JoAnne and family,
Robbi and I are so sorry for your loss. Dennis was a great man and a good friend. I was always impressed by his ability to succeed in a challenging industry without compromising his ethics or his principles. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Peace and love to him and all of you,

So many great memories from growing up with the Nelsons across the street. A sad day, Dennis you will be missed.

JoAnne and family:

May you feel the comfort of others keeping you in the hands of God through their words and prayers...Keep all the good memories in your thoughts....even through our growing up years and even high school days.....Every time I go through Plummer, I think of the time you called Dennis at that phone booth and we both had to scratch for enough coins!!!Love to you all!!! ReNae and family
