Not sure what to say?

John Boy, I´m so sad I didn´t get to say goodbye. You had a kind heart and always said prayers for me each day. I will always remember that time you drove me to the bus stop after work one Saturday. You nearly killed me with your crazy driving! We had a good time laughing about Quarto Milko and yucking it up about some other nonsense. I wish we could have had a Costco dog together and maybe split a bucket of clam dip like you always said. I hope Moose and Bear are being taken care of. I will...

I Didn't and I Did I met you, Denny, yrs. ago at the Aloha Swim Center. You said you were a recluse, by choice, and preferred canoes to people. Often you said to me, George, don't die 1st; you're my only friend. That wasn't quite true, but I appreciated the designation. So, Denny, I didn't die 1st. I did, though, follow your 2 wishes: I told everyone you were a man of faith always kind to the ladies and had a sense of humor. And I wrote this brief elegy, not only...

Denny was a good friend who always said he couldn´t be my friend because I was his boss. I think he decided we could be friends a few years after I was no longer his boss. He helped me after my husband passed away. Met me at a wildlife refuge for a long walk. Couple of lunches. Fixed a couple of things at my house that I did not know how to fix. Denny was truly a gentleman. I loved seeing pictures of his blacksmith work. He was a stellar person. One of Denny´s terms. RIP my friend. You were...

I first met Denny at the Fort Vancouver Blacksmith Shop in 1995. We seemed to hit it off as we had the same views on life and the world. We corresponded almost daily since then. I was a fellow cat lover and he loved to hear about the kitties. I miss him very much and hope he has found the "village" that he dreamed about living in. He is greatly missed.

It is so hard to put into words what Uncle Denny was to me. We would text at least once a day. He would send me messages of dry humor and I would send kitty pictures. I can not express how much I will miss him.

I worked in IT with Denny for many years. We stayed in contact via email until a couple of months ago. I will miss him and his great sense of humor. Judy Monroe

Denny was so sweet and kind, and I will cherish each moment I spent with him in the Fort kitchen. I will miss him so much.

Denny was a kind and gentle person who was a quiet but generous supported of the Youth Program at Fort Vancouver. He had a great sense of humor, and we always laughed over his burned ginger biscuits. He ran the wood fired oven a bit hot for those buttery sugary cookies, and it became friendly joke. We have been friends for almost 20 years. I will miss you very much, Denny, and it will never be the same without you.

Denny was a good and sweet man. My friend and mentor at the Fort for 12 years. He brought over 30 years of experience there. He was always kind, generous, and considerate. We will deeply miss him.
