Not sure what to say?

I had the honor to work for Dennis on a State of Michigan project. He was an amazing boss. Driven, humane, compassionate and sunny-optimistic. While I was working for Dennis, on his project, the tragedy of 911 struck and we were all stranded in a difficult situation. Despite being a large team, Dennis meticulously worked with each one of us as if we were the only ones in the world who mattered. I had the privilege to meet Randi at a few of our firm events. It was long ago, but even with all his teasing and high spirits, it was plain there was a good heart. So glad for his beautiful life and brave passing. Our best sympathies. And blessed feelings for the rejoicing among the other dear ones in heaven, and looking forward to the Miracles!

RIP Dennis! You were an amazing mentor, friend and human being! You influenced & impacted my professional and my personal life more than you would ever know! I will absolutely miss your wisdom, your advice, your laugh and your smile brother! FSU Bulldog FOREVER!

RIP Dennis. We’ve lost a great Bulldog and my sympathy goes out to the family. Walk softly in your grief.

Sharing our deepest sympathy and prayers with the Nickels family. May Dennis now rest in the arms of our Lord. Wayland Neighbors Walt & Helen Alflen
