We are moving through this as a family, working united -- as much as we can -- through this exceptionally difficult time. My father did indeed live an exceptional life.

Our Dad was a WWII troop leader or sergeant. As a family -- with as many as 7 kids -- we went on many summer camping trips. It was all our father could afford on a teacher's salary.

When my father was a more active volunteer for the Conservancy, he took on the "nickel tour" of the site. He showed me the ropes of his job and introduced me to some of his many fine co-workers.

It makes me happy and proud to read your remembrance and for me to remember the good my dad was able to do for the local environment in Naples.
