Not sure what to say?

I attended his workshop in 1984 was the only student and had the blast of a Life Time! My condolences!

I´m so sorry to hear of his passing. I just dug up my copy of A Potters Guide to Raw Glazing getting ready to resume making pots at age 78. I love his attitude. Pic is my waste oil burner.

Dennis created a unique and creative environment in Tuscarora for his family and for us students. His relaxed style embedded with knowledge and experience, inspired and encouraged us to let loose and experiment. His example and the setting in the old silver mining town out in the open desert are unforgettable wonderful memories.

Dennis was teaching at Knox College the same year I was there, 1965-66. I dropped out and consider going to Albert Schweitzer College but joined VISTA instead, the domestic Peace Corp. I eventually crossed path with him in person at Tuscarora pottery school in about 2016, an enriching experience throwing clay all day. Glad to have met him, Julie and Ben in person.

It was such an honor to meet and talk with Dennis. My father-in-law, Harold was at Amy's Eden when we met. I had been a High school art teacher for 30 years so we had lots in common to talk about. But listening to his adventures and teaching experiences was the best. He loaned me his book to read which I loved! I Am determined now to visit Tuscarora, to see what he built and loved. God has certainly blessed me by letting me meet such a good soul.
