Not sure what to say?

I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER DR. PUPELLO-HIS MOTHER, GRACE, WOULD LET ME FEED HIM-HE WAS BORN ON PARK AVENUE AND I LIVED NEXT DOOR. AND HE LOVED TO PLAY THE PIANO!!

I was about 10 -11 years old and Dennis was born next door on East Park Ave. His mother Grace would let me feed Dennis and play with him. His father, I thought at that time his father was so handsome!!. In fact I always said my first born boy will be called Dennis!! They moved, needed a larger home and lived on , 500 block, Ross Ave. I WILL ALWAYS THINK OF DENNIS. IN FACT I WAS AT ST. HOSPITAL AND SAW HIM IN THE HALLWAY AND INTRODUCED MYSELF AND TOLD HIM THE STORY HOW I KNEW HIM AND...

My name is Laurene Ann Grimaldi, from Weeki Wachee, FL. I did not know Dr. Pupello personally at all, but a good friend of mine, Joseph Diglio, had bypass surgery by Dr. Pupello many years ago. Joe thought the world of Dr. Pupello. I have heard wonderful things about him. I was a RN in the New Port Richey area, long since retired. I just saw this obituary now & want to extend my sincere condolences to the family.

Was unaware of Dennis's passing as I live now on the Westcoast. More than 30 years ago I lived in Tampa, as a cardiac surgery faculty member at USF. Met Dennis as a young surgeon at Tampa General Hospital. He became my part-time mentor. He inspired in me confidence and taught me invaluable surgical tricks. Dennis was a master surgeon and a kind, generous friend. He shall be missed.

We continue to miss Dr. Pupello My husband is living proof of Dr. Puppelo's genius as a surgeon!!

To: Mrs. Pupello and family, my deepest sympathy for the loss of your husband, and father. I had the priviledge of doing my surgical training; as a Surgical Technician at Tampa General Hospital; and trained with Dr. Pupello and his heart team. I learned a lot and appreciated the chance to be able to work with them; for that I am deeply thankful. He was an outstanding surgeon, saved many lives and will be greatly missed. God Bless .April L. Strouse, Tampa, Florida.

I met Dennis when we both worked at the Hillsborough County Health Department as summer interns in our college years. Later he did a heart procedure for my father which extended his quality of life considstably. Although we left Tampa in 1981 I have always valued his friendship

I was a young, eager to learn, SICU nurse when I first met Dr. Pupello when he arrived at TGH. He taught me the expert care of post op open heart surgery patients as I joined his exceptional team. I worked with him for many years and his teaching and nurturing never stopped. Years
later, I moved on to the UAB post-op Heart Surgery Unit through a personal reference from Dr. Pupello and we stayed in touch over the years. Then one day he called me and asked if I would return to Florida and...

Twenty five years ago, my husband had a successful mitral valve repair thanks to Dr. Pupello. My husband now is 81 years old and would not be here if it were not for Dr. Pupello. We were saddened to learn of his passing but are very grateful for his great surgical talent. Our sympathy to the entire family.
