Dennis-Radeff-Obituary

Dennis Andrew Radeff

Obituary

RADEFF, Dennis Andrew, surrounded by family and friends, passed away in the evening of August 27, 2009 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Born in Buffalo, N.Y. on November 29, 1946, Dennis moved to Richmond in 1999. There, he met his beloved Martie in 2001, and quickly discovering a soulmate in each other, they fell in love and married on July 12, 2002. Dennis is the son of the late Andrew and Freida Radeff. He was a devoted husband, loving father, dedicated sales representative for E.A. Holsten, an avid Bills fan, a humble golfer, and a terrific cook. He is survived by his loving and beautiful daughters, Julie Radeff-Huang, her husband, Bill, and their daughter, Lana, of Seattle, Wash., Sarah Allen of Greeley, Colo., Elizabeth Allen of Columbia, S.C., and Audrey Allen of Richmond. Dennis's disarming wit, uncommon kindness, gentle nature, and endless care for those he loved made him intensely loved in return. He will be greatly missed by his many admiring colleagues and customers, faithful friends, and caring, supportive family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bon Secours Hospice. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 to 4 at Woody's Funeral Home on Parham Road. A memorial service will be held on Monday at 12 noon at Trinity United Methodist Church on Forest Avenue.

Not sure what to say?

Thanks to all of you for your prayers and kind thoughts. Dennis and I always spoke of how we had finally found each other and had been given a second chance in life. He rescued me and made such a positive and loving impact on my girls. They loved him as I did. He spoke about and loved Julie, Bill and Lana every day. He told me many stories of his childhood and his youth and even took me to Cheektowaga a couple of years ago. He always spoke so highly of his customers and how kind they were...

We are so sorry for your loss. Dennis was our Rep. here at Ferguson in Newport News and he was a wonderful person! He will be greatly missed!
