When I was 7 years old, Dennis (then 16) and Mark Silveira coached a PYO basketball team (sponsored by Brunelle's Pharmarcy) to the PYO Championship. I was so small, Dennis carried me on his shoulders almost a mile down to Burbeck's for ice cream. I considered him a friend and ran into him dozens of times over the years. My memories of him are vivid and long lasting and I hope I never lose them.
Rest in Peace my friend,

Dennis had many talents, among them being a gifted writer. He wrote such a wonderful article about the passing of my husband Jack, and introduced me to the song "True Companion", telling me it reminded him of Jack and myself. Whenever I hear it, I am reminded of what a genuinely nice and kind man he was. Rest in peace, Dennis. You will be missed by all those who were blessed to know you.

I loved working with Dennis. He was a great writer, marvelous storyteller and terrific addition to the Sun newsroom. He was everyone's friend and seeing him everyday made life brighter. I also had fun when Dennis would record my essays for the Sunrise program that the Sun co-produced with UML. Dennis knew the perfect music to play as intro and exit music for each of my pieces and he'd patiently re-record if it wasn't "just right." He was a gem and I have such great memories of him. I am sad...

Dennis was a friend to my husband Bob (now with the Lord) and to my family for 40 years or more. Although miles separated us, we bumped into Dennis occasionally over the years and it was always a time of blessing as we talked with him about the 'good old days' and about the faithfulness of God to our families. Thank you for your friendship, Dennis!

I was Dennis' roommate during my hospitalization in May 2020. We were fast friends, making our time of suffering akin to a vacation at Summer Camp. We shared remembrances, knowledge and opinions. Our daily banter included almost constant light-hearted insults and jokes that entertained many LGH staff members. Every day he'd speak to his wife Diane, sharing commentary on our conversations. For once I experienced joy during a long hospital stay... Blessings and condolences to all whom shall...
