Not sure what to say?

I am a high school classmate of Dennis. I was on the Whitefish Bay high school volleyball team, a minor sport to be sure. But to Dennis that didn´t matter. He attended games and wrote articles boosting our image and morale for which we were grateful A great writer and good friend. ( and great writer... from the Tower Times ( HS newspaper ) to the New York Times well Wow) Dennis: Thanks For The Memories... many of which are in my high school scrapbook My condolences to his family Price Ivins

I knew Dennis from Whitefish Bay (WI) High School. We took that journalism class together. He was appointed a co-editor-in-chief and I, as co-city editor, followed his lead. He was dedicated to the writing craft even then. And fun to work with. I send condolences to his family.

So dreadfully sorry to learn of Dennis´s passing. We were comrades-in-arms as study leaders at Osher at Dartmouth and, especially, as longtime Board members at the Upper Valley Trails Alliance, where Dennis set a world record for seconding motions ("I´ll do anything to get into the minutes."). He had a wonderful sense of humor, which always came in handy, and his ability to be full, fair, frank, and direct in our board discussions helped sharpen the UVTA´s mission and our ability to...

Very sorry to hear. Dennis and I sat next to each other often during our years at Richard´s grade school. Dennis was a good, thoughtful and decent guy. I remember once we were teamed up on a project to build a miniature Panama Canal. Neither of us was particularly good at this sort of thing so when Dennis took it home to his mother she redid the whole thing before we submitted it. Dennis was a good friend. Jeff Bergner

Dennis was one of my favorite board members during my time at the Upper Valley Trails Alliance. I worked there for seven years, five of which overlapped with his term on the board and they were some of the most meaningful to me. I had the privilege of seeing firsthand how much his dedication, generosity and commitment to the organization's mission helped shape UVTA during a period of tremendous growth. During that time, we worked together on committees and projects where his insight and...

Dennis was the Everyman of Haverford College class of 1969. He kept us connected with humor, truth about college news, and stories we needed to hear. Easy rapport allowed him natural opportunities to create connective tissue for reunions.I will miss him enormously as a superb friend and exemplar of the essential goodness of humanity. God bless you Dennis...will miss you. Tim Golding´69

So sorry to hear about his passing.
