Dennis Telfer

Shocked when I heard this. Dennis was a good man. Old School, hard charging Coast Guard Chief...those were his words. I was deployed with Dennis for 6 months. We had many good times and laughs in the Guard. RIP Chief Telfer. Fair winds and following seas.

I went to Lathrop High School with Dennis. He was active in a variety of things and a member of the local Key Club Chapter. I knew him in German Club, and he and I both went on a trip to Germany with the club in 1977. He and I stayed for awhile with the same family, and because of his gregarious personality he once got stuck talking with our host father late into the night about all things political.

I'll always remember Dennis as upbeat and helpful, with a good heart. I'm so sorry...
