Dennis E. Turner

Dennis E. Turner, affectionately known as “Snarf,” passed away suddenly on November 11, 2024, at the age of 75. A loving and devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
 
He was the beloved husband of the late Sandra Turner (nee Seamans). Dennis is survived by his loving children: Denise DeLaurentis, Sandy Davidson (Jason), and Melissa Oblea (Daniel), as well as his cherished grandchildren: Faith DeLaurentis, Jordan DeLaurentis, Chloe Davidson, Shane Davidson, and Hayden Oblea. He was a dear brother to Terry Beaucheane (Jerry) and brother-in-law to Diane and Joe Kitz. He also leaves behind a large extended family and many dear friends. Dennis will be sorely missed by his loyal furry companion, Triumph.
 
Dennis was a proud retiree of Philadelphia Gas Works (PGW), where he spent many years of his career. Outside of work, he enjoyed riding motorcycles and, above all, treasured the time spent with his grandchildren. 
 
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at St. Katherine of Siena Church, 9700 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19114, from 9:00 AM, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
 
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Dennis’ memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105, to continue the fight against childhood cancer.
